Our venue is located in Sonoma County in Northern California. Temperate year-round, the weather on the Sonoma Coast follows a pattern of maritime fog in the morning which gives way to California sunshine around noon. When inland valleys heat up, the coast remains cool. The weather can be changeable.

Packing tip: Layered clothing is recommended to ensure you stay comfortable all weekend. A perfect August day will see highs in the 80s and cool down in the evening to lows in the 50s.

Summer casual

Check in to your room and mosey on down to the Boathouse. It may cool down as the sun sets so be mindful of layers, but if you forget, your room should be a short walk away. 😉

For our guys, gals and non-binary pals…

Maxi or Midi dresses, fancy cocktail dresses or elegant pantsuits! Plz note, this will be an outdoor wedding celebration and the grass can be quite soft — so maybe rethink packing your stilettos. We welcome wedge or platform heels and stylish flats.

Grab your suits, ties are optional, and meet us in the trees! It’s time to get weird.

Sonoma County is a wonderful place to visit. We encourage you to consider staying an extra night or two to explore. There is a plethora of hiking nearby, Armstrong Redwoods State Preserve, Golf courses, vineyards, and more. Dawn Ranch provides excellent amenities, such as morning yoga sessions, bikes, and tubes + kayaks for river use.

Young children are welcome to join us on Friday. We just ask that the ceremony and portion of the reception be an adults-only affair.

We have recommendations for local childcare if you need them! We want to hang with your babies!
